Our Process

Working with a financial planner can feel daunting if you’re not sure what to expect. That’s why we follow a clear, step-by-step process designed to give you confidence from our first conversation through to an ongoing trusted relationship.

1. Introductory Meeting

Usually by phone or video call (30-45 minutes)

This first conversation is simply a chance to talk. We’ll:

  • Understand what prompted you to seek financial advice
  • Learn more about you, your goals and priorities
  • Explain how we work and the services we provide
  • Answer your initial questions
  • Help you decide if our service is the right fit for you

There’s no obligation. If you’d like to move forward, we’ll ask you to complete a short confidential financial questionnaire so our next meeting is as productive as possible.

2. Plan

One or two meetings, by video call or in person

This is where the real work begins. Together we’ll:

  • Understand what matters most to you and your family
  • Review your financial information in detail
  • Identify strengths, gaps and priorities in your planning
  • Build the first version of your financial plan

We’ll talk about your life as much as your money, discussing who and what matters most, and how you want the future to look.

You’ll leave this stage with:

  • a clear picture of where you are now
  • a practical plan for the future
  • and an understanding of your next steps

We’ll also send you a written summary of our observations and agreed actions.

3. Implement

Decision point: becoming a client

At this stage we explain and implement advice tailored to your circumstances. This may include setting up products such as pensions, investments, mortgages and/or specialist insurances.

In this meeting we’ll:

  • Present our financial advice clearly and in plain English
  • Explain how our recommendations fit your goals
  • Answer your questions so you can decide with confidence

If you choose to move ahead, we’ll handle all administration and paperwork to put your plan into action. Implementation can take several weeks or months depending on complexity, and we’ll keep you updated throughout.

4. Review & Refine

Ongoing advice service

No matter how carefully we build a plan, life changes — and your plan should adapt with it.

As an ongoing client, you’ll:

  • Have at least one financial planning meeting each year
  • Review your goals, plan and investments to make sure you’re on track
  • Get in touch anytime your circumstances change or you need to talk things through
  • We’ll keep you up to date with any changes that could affect your finances

This ongoing partnership ensures your plan evolves with you — helping you stay on track, avoid financial mistakes and live with confidence.
